Governance
Our Trustees have overall control and responsibility for Mission Without Borders and are the people who lead the charity and decide how it is run. Their skills, knowledge and experience are called upon to shape the progress and development of the Mission.
Michael Thomas – Chairman
Michael worked in the UK in the business and retail sectors and founded and ran his own print shop. In addition to this experience, he worked 25 years in intercultural and international Christian missions as a manager and in other leadership positions. Michael strives to connect people with Christ and has a special desire to help the poor and needy in Eastern Europe.
Hans van Baaren
Rev. Johannes (Hans) van Baaren’s ministry journey began in the late 1980s, smuggling Christian material into Eastern Europe and secretly visiting pastors in Romania – experiences that deeply shaped his lifelong calling. He has since served in strategic roles within Operation Mobilization’s Ships Ministry, including on the Logos II, Doulos, and Logos Hope, across Europe and the United States before, most recently, serving as European Director of OM.
Hans is passionate about partnering with and supporting the local church to bring lasting Gospel transformation, a value that deeply resonates with the vision of Mission Without Borders.
